We’re designed to accommodate your remote working needs, and we offer a great space for small meetings up to 12 people.

Our coffee shop boasts generous parking facilities, spacious indoor and outdoor seating, complimentary Wi-Fi, a pet-friendly atmosphere, and the convenience of reserving tables upon request.

Coffee Lovers Love Us

I used to visit this location frequently back in the day when the spot was owned by Urban Coffee Lounge. I recently found out about The Art of Coffee from a friend a few weeks ago. I have visited several times since then and it’s some of the best coffee that I have had. Everyone who works there is super friendly with great customer service. I was there yesterday doing some work and after I ordered my coffee, the head manager brought my coffee right to my table. The chairs are also super comfortable if you are going to be there for a while. Great spot!!!

Loved their efficacy- delicious blend.
I had their salted Caramel latte with whole milk, and it was so rich and thick, and delicious. Can’t wait to get back in. It’s a lovely place to walk in and have a face to face interaction. Their pastry selection was pretty sufficient as well- had their raspberry oatmeal bar- good stuff. Totally recommend.

Amazing crew with the best lattes! They also have a magical oven, I swear! Their breakfast sandwiches are the best but their ovens allow the ciabatta bread to get perfectly hot yet crispy on the edges. It’s a game changer! I wish lived closer but get it every time I visit my parents.

I lived in the building and I’ve watched a few owners come and go. I have to say that with the art of coffee I absolutely love the people there. I get a warm smile, hello, and I always know what to make me before I even say anything. I usually get the same thing sometimes I like to switch it up on them to keep them on their toes.

Great coffee, probably my go-to spot now…I’ve ordered 5 different drinks all made by different employees and they all came out great. The cold brew is really good if you’re into cold brew. They sell various single origin roasted beans as well. Good atmosphere and good people.

Great coffee and friendly baristas too. We had ordered extra hot and she made that perfectly. Only downside for us was lot of dogs inside which we are not okay with usually. Some of the dogs were trying to jump and lick the merchandise kept near the billing lane which felt odd to me. I’d love to visit again may be just a take out this time because of the crazy number of dogs inside over the weekends.

BRYAN MCINTOSH, MD. – OWNER 

Dr. McIntosh is a second generation leader in the coffee experience and has been in the business since the beginning of the Seattle coffee movement. In 1991, Bryan’s parents opened their first coffee stand that then became a mobile coffee truck, traveling places as far as Seattle to Eastern Washington. The dream of opening a coffee shop began 10 years ago. With a love for good quality coffee and a desire to bring the community together – the search for the perfect location for a coffee shop began.

Outside of the coffee shop, Dr. McIntosh runs a successful plastic surgery practice, Refine, MD Northwest with locations in Kirkland and Bellevue. Dr. McIntosh has been active in the community for the past 13 years offering plastic surgery and aesthetic services.

Dr. McIntosh is grateful to have ties with many wonderful local business owners in the Kirkland and Bellevue area. As a member of the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce, The Art of Coffee was awarded the “Charles O. Morgan Business Excellence Award” in 2024, for its outstanding community impact as a local Kirkland business, which is cherished by locals and visitors alike.

KAT – SHOP MANAGER & BARISTA

Kat is your shop manager, and often the first smile you’ll see when you walk in. With over 20 years in service and 12+ years in coffee, she loves building community and making people feel comfortable—whether it’s by crafting a great cup, listening when someone needs to talk, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her at a Mariners game, on a hike, or gathered around a table for card night.
